Support for Vision Vancouver now stands at 37% of decided municipal voters; support for NPA stands at 32%. Despite the closing of the gap between NPA and Vision, NPA has shown only directional growth (from 28% a year ago), while Vision has fallen steadily (from 52%). Notably, COPE support has reached 24% of decided voters (from 13% a year ago).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/VOTER-INTENTION-JULY-20112.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-828\" title=\"VOTER INTENTION JULY 2011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/VOTER-INTENTION-JULY-20112.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Asked about the close race, \u201cThere is no one reason, like bike lanes or riots,\u201d explains Barb Justason. \u201cIf Suzanne Anton\u2019s candidacy were a factor, NPA support would be growing, but it\u2019s not.\u201d Anton announced her candidacy May 18, 2011. \u201cVision\u2019s fortunes are falling, while COPE\u2019s are rising.
