(1 August\u00a02017)<\/p>\n<p>Just over half of Vancouverites (54%) have been affected in some way by British Columbia&#8217;s wildfires according to a Justason Market Intelligence poll conducted in late July. The poll, released for public education purposes, finds 46% of City residents have not been affected.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5380\" src=\"http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"844\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL.png 1500w, http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL-300x169.png 300w, http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL-768x432.png 768w, http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL-1024x576.png 1024w, http:\/\/www.justasonmi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/J759-JUL-POLL-941x529.png 941w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>East\u00a0Side residents are significantly more likely than West\u00a0Side residents to have been affected by the wildfires (61% vs. 47%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Air quality concerns<\/strong> prevail among the plurality as the most common impact.<\/p>\n<p>One-quarter (24%) say\u00a0<strong>friends or family have been directly affected<\/strong>, this level far higher among East than West Side residents (31% vs. 18%).
