On Tuesday, May 9, we will know the result of the BC Provincial Election. During this campaign period, experimenting with an online data collection platform (see previous posts), and now IVR, Justason Market Intelligence and zinc tank have teamed up to offer our insights on B.C.’s general election.
Brian Singh, zinc tank’s principal, and I got on the phone to discuss why we did this, the challenge of data collection when it is increasingly difficult to get a representative sample and model a voting population, what we are seeing in different polling methods, some context for change and our (albeit tepid) prediction.
