Vancouver B.C. (1 May 2014) – Trust in four key municipal organizations has fallen dramatically since November 2011. Residents’ trust in the Vancouver Police Department (VPD) decreased from a high of 74% in November 2011 to 52 per cent. Even so, the VPD ranks highest among four municipal organizations examined.

The Vancouver Park Board ranks second (44% trust) and is showing signs of slow growth since September 2013.

Four-in-ten (40%) residents trust Vancouver’s School Board, which places the organization in third.

Trust in Vancouver’s municipal government continues at its fourth place trust ranking, and its lowest levels since tracking began.
